Out of all the titles that I hold in life; “Mama” is the most important to me. Growing up, my mom wasn’t around much. I have very few pictures of us. But I knew when I had my two boys that my path would be different. They’re the driving force behind everything I do, including my photography business. They’re the reason why I started this. They’re the reason why I love it and cherish it as if it were my own baby. A photograph, to me, is so much more than a digital image that we store on our devices. They truly remind us of a time where things may have been good, bad or meaningful; they make us feel. Photographs remind us of what once was, or what is. They help spark a memory that faded over the years. They’re storytellers. Whenever I’m behind my camera, I try to think of my family; how do I want them to feel? How can I meet them right where they are and capture that?

I’m a wife to the most patient, hardworking/selfmade human on this planet. We’ve been together for 13 years. Marriage has honestly been pretty easy for us. Don’t get me wrong … we’ve gone to bed without speaking & we’ve said things we shouldn’t have. But, no matter what, we meet each other in our mess and figure it out. We’re a team. In this marriage; it’s “happy husband AND wife, happy life.”
